Basic Fire Awareness Training

Basic Fire Awareness Training is fundamental in keeping your staff safe, should a fire break out within your place of business.  This course will teach your members of staff about the fire risks within their workplace, what safety measures should be in place to protect them and measures to extinguish or escape from the fire if possible.


WHO REQUIRES BASIC FIRE AWARNESS TRAINING?


The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, stipulates that ALL members of staff should receive basic fire training at the start of their employment and periodically from then on.


Our Basic Fire Awareness Training covers the following areas:

  • The Fire Triangle
  • Classes of Fire
  • ·Types of Fire Extinguishers
  • How to Operate all types Fire Extinguisher
  • ·How to raise the alarm
  • ·Emergency routes and Exits
  • ·Emergency Lighting
  • ·Fire Assembly Points

This 1-2 hour course is designed to give your staff an awareness of the responsibilities placed upon them in the event of a fire in the workplace.  Some practical training can be offered if time and resources allow for it.


Our expert tutors are all experienced fire fighters with DBS Clearance.

ABOUT OUR COURSES


The fire safety course we offer is given in person rather than remotely and additionally the course we offer can be tailored to suit your particular needs taking into account the unique characteristics of your building and the function for which your building is used for.


Our fire safety course will also give you a better understanding of the mandatory fire risk assessment process which you are required to undertake under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Many of our past clients are shocked to learn of the many fire safety rules they breached due to a lack of basic fire safety training.
